The school term is coming to an end across UP, but around three lakh students of basic shiksha schools are yet to get the school bags they had been expecting the entire year.

They were supposed to get the bags before the start of the season.

However, although students in other districts have got their bags, in Agra the process is yet to happen, even while the school term wound its course and is about to end.

According to officials, students of primary and upper primary schools were to be distributed bags before the beginning of the academic session.

According to official sources in the office of the basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) in Agra, special secretary D P Singh has written to district magistrate and BSAs, asking them to collect the bags for distribution in their respective regions.

Teachers in Agra schools asked what the point of distributing the bags was now when the academic session was about to end.
