Vadodara administration had decided to close Sayaji Bagh and Zoo due to the Corona epidemic. Now as the situation comes under control the popular destination is reopened after nearly 97 days. As Sayajibagh Zoo was opened from Friday large number of visitors arrived to spend some time with the animals.
Notably, Sayaji Bagh was opened only for Morning Walkers in the first phase of Unlock. After that, a large number of people flocked to the zoo after it was reopened from Friday. The garden and the zoo has been buzzing again with the arrival of visitors.
During the deadly second wave of corona virus, the administration decided to close the Sayajibagh as well as zoo as a precautionary measure from 19 March. Now as the situation comes under control it has been decided to open Sayaji Bagh Zoo after 97 days.
Visitors will be able to visit the zoo from 8 am to 5 pm. As a result, the place will once again buzzing with people but they are asked to strictly adhere to Corona guidelines. Although the renovation of the aviary is underway, the aviary section has been kept closed for visitors. Sayajibagh Zoo will be closed every Thursday.
