Savli police registered a case of atrocity after two ladies from dalit family were stopped from public garba mahotsav in Pilol village in Savli taluka of Vadodara district. Further investigation is on in the matter.

According to a complaint lodged at the Savli police station, a lady and her niece were stopped for playing garba in a public garba mahotsav in Pilol on 10th October Sunday night and insulted them by comments on their cast. When she complained the matter to her husband he came for talks but he was also insulted and abused.

Savli police also reached the spot and took the situation under control. "The lady and her niece belongs to dalit family were insulted and stopped to play garba in Navratri mahotsav at Pilol. Her husband was also insulted by the people. An offence is registered under atrocity act and DySP from SC/ ST cell is further investigating in the matter, " Said DySP S.K. Vala.
