Revenue and Law Minister Rajendra Trivedi formally took charge at Swarnim Sankul-1 Gadhinagar on Sunday. Former Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsih Jadeja, other office bearers and high officials were present on the occasion and sent their best wishes.

After done puja in the presence of Scheduled Caste girls, the Revenue Minister while talking to media said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, they will move forward in the direction of development of Gujarat. Various departments are working for the welfare of the people of the state. The first priority of our government will be to ensure that the law is delivered to the citizens quickly and easily and that the people get justice easily.

Good and strict laws have been brought in Gujarat and will bring in stricter laws if needed for the criminals. Arrangements will be made to make it easier for witnesses to testify in various cases.

He said the registration process would be made easier after the sale of the land. In the coming days, a video conference will be held with the Mamlatdars and all the District Collectors in which the pending cases of revenue will be reviewed. In the coming days, the revenue department will work harder to resolve the outstanding issues.

He said that more care would be taken in the matter of note of rights and action would be taken against the concerned if necessary. The process of non-farming land will be made easier by quickly removing the technical issues that have arisen. We will listen to people's questions directly from the people and work towards giving them speedy justice.

He added that more care would be taken to ensure that people in the state do not suffer due to natural calamities and heavy rains. A survey is being conducted in all the affected areas of the state. Assistance has been paid to the heirs of the victims of the recent floods in Saurashtra. There has been no exclusion in the cashdol in the affected areas. Assistance has been paid to all people.

He added that many locals did a good job of helping during the hurricane. 50,000 locals are ready to help in times of natural disasters like hurricanes. Which will work with the government as a "disaster friend" in times of such disasters.

The Minister has taken an innovative initiative by requesting to give only greetings instead of bouquets and sweets to the well-wishers who come to meet him.

It may be mentioned here that Rajendra Suryaprasad Trivedi has been elected from 144-Raopura (Vadodara) Assembly constituency. He was born on 19 June 1954 at Vadodara and studied B.Sc. (Hons), LL.B. He is involved in farming and advocacy business. He was elected as MLA in the 13th Gujarat Legislative Assembly, 2012-17. From 7th August 2016 to 25th December 2017, he was the Minister of State for Sports, Youth Services and Cultural Activities, Yatradham development (Independent Charge). After being elected as MLA in 14th Gujarat Legislative Assembly 2017-22, he has been holding the post of Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly since February 19, 2018. He enjoys reading, social activity, literary activity and poetry writing.
