Ramesh Chandra Ratn, Chairman, Passenger Service Committee, Ministry of railway visited Vadodara as part of his four day visit to Gujarat. He visited the railway station, interact with the authorities and also get the representation from the city BJP about the needed facilities for passengers at Vadodara.

He thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assigned him the responsibility for the second time and said their duty is to take notice about all the facilities a passenger need throughout his journey till he reached the destination. He said the Covid era gives lots of challenges in front of them and as trains are again back on track, they are concentrating on passenger amenities as priority.

Vadodara BJP also represent the needed facilities for passengers in front of Ramesh Chandra Ratn. That includes escalators at other platforms, facility of tele or video consultation for medical emergency, inter transport facility from Vadodara to Chayapuri, electric car on other platforms, business kiosks for Sakhi mandals and others at platforms.

"Our priority is to look after the safety, security and other facilities for the passengers till they reach their destination. The government is providing world class facilities at stations and make the journey a memorable one for the people. We are checking every amenities by visiting stations and also interact with people about their queries. We also released a number 9717647676 on which anyone can call and their queries will be resolved. We visited waiting rooms and other facilities at Vadodara and found it satisfactory and also gave necessary instructions, " Said Ratn.

Speaking on the context about the question regarding demolition of Gaekwad era Railway Salon Shed at Vadodara railway station, he said, Bharatiya Janata Party is always protecting the heritage not demolishing them and he will forward the query the railway committee.
