Rahul Gandhi to address tribals at May 10 Dahod rally
This will be the first big public meeting by the Congress party ahead of the upcoming assembly election in the state
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address the 'Adivasi Satyagraha' rally on May 10 in Dahod, the Congress said on Tuesday.
Former GPCC president and senior leader Bharatsinh Solanki told mediapersons at the state Congress headquarters that Rahul Gandhi will chart the party's roadmap for taking up issues being faced by the tribals in the state.
This will be the first big public meeting by the Congress party ahead of the upcoming assembly election in the state.
Solanki said that the state government claims it is working for the welfare of the tribals.
But in reality, he said, they are not being paid fully for MGNREGA work and benefits of other schemes are not reaching the tribals.
Former GPCC president Arjun Modhwadia said the Congress has been raising the issues of the tribal population both inside and outside the assembly.
He said that the rally, will be held at Navjivan Arts and Commerce College ground in Dahod. tnn
