ARCH Development Foundation in collaboration with Voltamp Transformers Limited has started Unnati project in 2 villages of Savli- Vadadla & Maninagar. The overall goal of the project is to empower women by helping them to discover & develop the skills, knowledge, confidence in them through Self-Help Group (SHG) promotion & livelihood enhancement initiatives.

Currently there are total 8 SHG groups running in both the villages and the foundation are covering more than 300 women & adolescent girls through this project. With the help of SHG groups, the females shall be able to save money and through income-generation activities, they shall be able to contribute financial support to their families.

There have been various trainings, workshops organized for the women and adolescent girls like menstrual hygiene management, rakhi making workshop, self-awareness workshop. Also, the SHG groups shall act as a powerful channel to increase access to hygienic and affordable sanitary napkins in the villages and simultaneously can generate income for the group.

On 21st October 2021, an event was organized by ARCH Foundation in Maninagar Primary School under Unnati project to give an official start to rakhi making as an income generation activity for the women, whereby the women offered their handmade rakhis to Lord Ganesha. Also, during the event, a ribbon cutting ceremony of a toilet block was done by Voltamp Transformers Limited which they had made for the school. The ribbon cutting ceremony was performed by Taral Patel, director of Voltamp Transformers Limited, Vikas Raizada, HR Head, Voltamp Transformers Limited, Sonkee Shah, CEO, ARCH Development Foundation along with their colleagues.
