Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsinh Jadeja inaugurated the counseling and training center of ShE team of Vadodara Police for Women, following the motto "Women with Women" at Police Bhavan. The inauguration is donne in the presence of Yogesh Patel, Minister of State for Narmada Development.
Police Commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh welcomed the Home Minister and the guests. All present there was given literature informing about the performance of the ShE team.
Unveiling the logo of Vadodara City Police's ShE Team, Pradipsinh Jadeja said that four new police stations would be set up in Vadodara strengthening the law and order in the city. Out of them one at Kubharwada and the other three separate police stations will be set up at Akota, Atladara and Kapurai. Besides, the city of Vadodara has been provided with 33 Bolero jeep, 52 motorcycles and other required equipments has been allotted at a cost of Rs 2.78 crore. As many as 1184 CCTV cameras have been installed in Vadodara city under i and Smart City project. Besides installation of 171 CCTV cameras are going on in the city. Under the Vishwas project, 650 new CCTV cameras will be installed in Vadodara city, added Jadeja.
Preparations for the third wave were started under the guidance of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani after the devastation caused by second wave of Corona. As part of this, a team has been working to increase the number of beds in hospitals, provide oxygen, medicines, injections and other necessary preparations. These preparations will be completed by the end of August. At present about 60,000 tests are being done in the state. At the same time, the recovery rate is improving along with the decline in cases in the state, said Home Minister Jadeja.
Praising the work of ShE Team in Vadodara city, Pradipsinh Jadeja said that besides serving women, children and senior citizens, the team also helped the people a lot during the second wave of Corona. This model project of Vadodara city police will be implemented in other city-districts of the state after discussion.
Expressing the feeling that the state government has made comprehensive arrangements for the protection of women, Yogesh Patel, Minister of State for Narmada Development, said that a well-trained ShE team is being very helpful to the women, elders and children in need. He said that educating girls increases their awareness of women's rights. The police are also aware of the safety of women. He described the performance of the team as exemplary and expressed the feeling that the facilities for it would enhance efficiency.
