Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsinh Jadeja said that two grandsons of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have made the whole country feel true freedom from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. He said that if the Prime Minister has enhanced the pride of the country in the world, then the Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani and the Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel are taking Gujarat from the best to great.

He said that in Gujarat, corona cases has come down, recovery rate has gone up to 99 per cent, positivity rate has come down but it is necessary to be vigilant in view of the possibility of a third wave. The state government has made all advance arrangements like beds, oxygen, medicines and medical human resources considering the possibility of a third wave. He made a special request to all to abide by the guidelines of Corona.

Pradipsinh Jadeja hoisted the national flag at the Railway Police Parade Ground in Vadodara on the 75th Independence Day and saluted the tricolor, the highest symbol of honor, dignity of the country. He reviews the parade of uniformed forces and wished the people of Vadodara city and district a happy Independence Day and paid rich tributes to the martyrs of freedom.

Wishing all the people he said that the reason we are breathing in an independent India is because of fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh. In the last five years, the government has opened the door for the upliftment, progress and prosperity of Gujarat.

For development of Gujarat various development projects like Ahmedabad and Surat Metro, Bullet Train, Raksha Shakti University, OBC Bill have been gifted by the Prime Minister. To take Gujarat from the best to great, various schemes and programs were organized by the state government in which smart classrooms equipped with technological facilities were prepared in 150 schools in Vadodara district under Gyankunj scheme. In the Seva Setu program, an innovative approach has been adopted by providing 58 services at home during the Corona period.

During Corona epidemic free foodgrains have been provided to 2.50 lakh people for the state. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, many people without roofs have been provided houses with modern facilities. Gujarat's youth is the power of the state that is why on employment Day more than 62000 youth have been given equal employment opportunities in government, semi-government and private institutions.

He further added that all the medical facilities including bed, oxygen, ventilator, ambulance, treating staff etc. have been made available by the government amid fears of a possible third wave of corona. The formula given by the Chief Minister has proved to be the most important in the epidemic of testing, tracking and treatment of corona.

Referring to the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of Birsa Munda University in Rajpipla by the Chief Minister, he said that the university would be built at a cost of Rs. 342 crore, will increase home-based higher education facilities in tribal areas. The government has implemented the PESA Act smoothly and has given rights to more than 13 million acres of forest land to tribals under the Forest Rights Act. Our government cares for the poor, exploited, deprived, victims and the tribals.

Stating that women empowerment is the priority of their government, he said that recently one lakh members of 10,000 women's groups have been given Rs. 140 crore without interest on self-reliance through self-employment and savings. He said that more than Rs. 7500 crore development projects have been given to the state under the Seva Yagya of government for 5 years.

The Minister honored Corona Warriors of Health Department, Additional Resident Collector Dilip Patel and Team, Team Vadodara Police, runner Nishakumari, 108 and employees of Abhyam Services.
