In a shocking incident a family lodged a police complaint about abduction of a seven day old baby sleeping with his mother at Lilora village near Jarod in Waghodia taluka of Vadodara district. Upon learning of the incident, senior officials including DySP Kalpesh Solanki rushed to the spot and formed teams to search for the infant. LCB, SOG, Dog Squad and FSL all joined in the investigation.

As per available details, Sangita wife of Poonambhai Tinabhai Devipujak, gave birth to a child on October 15. On the evening of October 16, she came home after discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile on Thursday night she was shocked to see her baby missing and informed the family. They all started searching nearby and inside the field but unable to found any trace of the infant.

Finally they informed the police about the missing infant and the teams started searching for him. "The mother don't have suspicion on anyone and we are investigating on their complaint about the missing infant. We formed different teams to investigate in the kidnapping as well as other angles. The teams searched in nearby areas including fields to trace the infant. We are taking help of CCTV, human intelligence, FSL, Dog squad, LCB, SOG, Waghodia police in the investigation, " Said DySP Kalpesh Solanki, Dabhoi division.
