Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects at Banas Dairy Sankul in Diyodar, Banaskantha, Gujarat today. Mr Modi will also lay the foundation stone of WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM) in Jamnagar.

Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and Director-General of World Health Organization Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus will be present on the occasion.

Mr Modi will also dedicate the Banas Community Radio Station to the nation. This Community Radio Station has been established to provide farmers with key scientific information related to agriculture and animal husbandry.

It is expected that the radio station will connect with over five lakh farmers of about one thousand 700 villages.

Yesterday, Prime Minister visited the Command and Control Centre for Schools in Gandhinagar. This state-of-the-Art Centre has been named Vidhya Samiksha Kendra. After reaching the Command and Control Centre for Schools, Mr Modi visited various exhibitions and displays and got minute information about its working. Prime Minister also interacted with the Cluster Coordinators.

Mr Modi said that we are fortunate to have the state of the art technology for our education system. Interacting with the Co-Coordinators and the students of various schools, on the first day of his three-day visit to Gujarat, Mr Modi emphasised nutritional food for students.

The Prime Minister appealed to Coordinators to use this technology for nutritional food to the school children along with learning and assessment. Mr Modi also asked the Coordinators and teachers to focus on physical education in the school curriculum.

Prime Minister said that now sports and physical education are part of education under the New Education Policy.

Sourcec reports that the Prime Minister spent more than 2 hours at Vidhya Samiksha Kendra in Gandhinagar and interacted with the coordinators, teachers and students last evening. Today, he will dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects at Banas Dairy Sankul at Diyodar in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat.

These include a green-field project of a new dairy complex and potato processing plant and a Banas Community Radio station for farmers. Later in the day, Mr. Modi will lay the foundation stone of WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine -GCTM in Jamnagar.

The Prime Minister of Mauritius and Director-General of World Health Organization- will remain present on this occasion. GCTM will be the first and only global outpost centre for traditional medicine across the world. It will emerge as an international hub of global wellness.

Tomorrow, Mr Modi will inaugurate the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit at Gandhinagar.
