A mother daughter duo stuck and face difficulties following the curfew imposed in Vadodara city due to Lord Jagannath Rathyatra. They came from Kutch to meet the daughter studying in Vadodara Medical College. Both had to walk nearly three kilometers to reach the medical college.
As per available details, Dr. Aarti is studying in third year MBBS in Baroda Medical College. Her mother and sister Vaishali, who lives in Kutch, came to Vadodara to meet, but due to Lord Jagannath's rathyatra they were stuck for five to six hours.
Vaishali who came to meet her sister Amita studying in Baroda Medical College, said, they got off from the bus near Soma talav in Vadodara early in the morning. From there they came to Amit Nagar Circle in an auto rickshaw and took another rickshaw to the medical college. On the way, the police stopped the autorickshaw and they get down. They told them that since the rathyatra has started, they will be able to reach the medical college in three to four hours.
However, the mother and daughter hid from the police to reach the medical college and reached near the Raopura police station, where they were helped by the media and arrive at the medical hostel in front of Kuber Bhavan.
Aarti felt relaxed as mother and sister reached the hostel. There was tears in her eyes after saw mother and sister many days later. Even the mother and sister could not hold back their tears.
Dr. Aarti said that her mother and sister Vaishali from Kutch had to face many difficulties due to curfew in the city in view of Lord Jagannath's rathyatra. They informed the police about coming from Kutch but stuck due to the curfew and reached the hostel all the walking from the spot they get down from the auto.
