Bharuch is set to witness a significant boost in its healthcare infrastructure as Dr. Kiran C. Patel Medical College and Research Institute has announced plans to construct a 200-bed super multi-specialty hospital.
This state-of-the-art facility will enhance patient care, particularly benefiting the poor and middle-class communities of the district.
The Civil Hospital of Bharuch, taken over by Dr. Kiran C. Patel Medical College and Research Institute in 2019, has already become a central hub for advanced medical treatment. Offering free services, it caters to a large number of patients, including those from remote villages and industrial accident cases.
The hospital currently boasts modern facilities such as advanced laboratories, sonography, echocardiograms, a well-equipped operation theater, and hi-tech equipment, all supported by a dedicated team of doctors.
Dr. Gopika Mekhia, a representative of the administration, highlighted the vision of Dr. Kiran C. Patel and CMD Dr. Mitesh Shah to provide world-class healthcare to Bharuch residents. "Our aim is to ensure the people of Bharuch district have access to superior medical care without the need to travel to cities like Surat or Vadodara," she said.
The upcoming 200-bed hospital, expected to be operational within a year, will specialize in advanced treatments such as neurology and joint replacement surgeries. This development will significantly reduce the dependency on neighboring cities for complex medical procedures.
In addition to expanding healthcare services, the institute has prioritized safety by implementing a state-of-the-art fire management system. Regular checks and monitoring are conducted to ensure patient and staff safety in case of emergencies.
With this initiative, Dr. Kiran C. Patel Medical College and Research Institute continues to be a beacon of hope for Bharuch, delivering accessible and advanced healthcare to the community.
