On Thursday, the mobile veterinary hospital (MVD) of Dabhoi Taluka with veterinary Executive Officer Dr. Chirag Parmar and Pilot Tousif Pathan were heading towards Simaliya village for treatment at noon. Suddenly Chirag saw a small bird fell on ground. He checked and found it to be a very small type of Swallow bird which is a migrated bird and found in certain areas in winter. This bird is found around Wadhwana Lake, a known place of exotic birds near Dabhoi.

This bird suffered with Cold Shock Hypothermia and fell on the ground due to a sudden drop in body temperature in view of change in the environment. Some animal lover called 1962 Karuna Helpline and they forwarded the message to the MVD and told to do the necessary treatment. Dr. Chirag and team went to the spot and saw that the bird was in shock.

"The bird was in very bad condition and tried to crawl but the weather proved to much for it. I first wrapped it in a cotton to give some warmth and later gave heat therapy by turning on the heater of the ambulance. After nearly 40 minutes of necessary therapy including Melonex and Vimeral drops and released it after recovery," said Dr. Chirag.
