Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare, Manisha Vakil, visited office of Commissioner of Women and Child Development

On the first day at office as the Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare, Manisha Vakil, visited the office of Commissioner of Women and Child Development at Dr. Jivraj Mehta Bhavan (Old Secretariat) Block No. 20 on Friday.

After holding a meeting with all the officers of the offices affiliated to the Department of Women and Child Development, the Minister made necessary suggestions to ensure that the benefits of every scheme pertaining to the Department of Women and Child Development reach all the needy in time.

Secretary of Women and Child Development Department K.K. Nirala briefed the Minister about the operations of the department, plans and its scope and forthcoming plans. The Minister then visited the State Management Center of the department.

The meeting was attended by various officers including ICDS Director D.N. Modi.
