The Indian arm of Malaysian copper tube maker, Mettube, on Monday, signed an agreement with the Gujarat government to set up a manufacturing plant in Sanand.
Sources said Mettube Copper India Private Limited is set to invest about Rs 1,000 crore in the first phase to set up the facility.
The copper tubes manufactured here are widely used in refrigeration and air-conditioning industries.
The MoU was exchanged between chief minister Bhupendra Patel and Apurva Bagri, the chairman of Mettube Copper India, in Gandhinagar.
