According to sources, electrical cables powering the metro line were stolen, leading to a shutdown of services from Wednesday morning. As a result, the metro services on this route have been halted until further notice.

The police have launched an investigation, and the metro department is working to restore operations as soon as possible.

However, there has been no official announcement on how long the repairs will take or when services will resume.

Passengers traveling to work early in the morning were unaware due to the lack of prior notice and were forced to rely on private transport. The absence of timely updates from metro authorities has sparked anger and frustration among commuters.

In a separate incident, Ahmedabad Metro services between Vastral and Thaltej were halted on Thursday morning due to a technical issue, causing major delays.
