Ahmedabad recorded the maximum temperature of 41.3°C on Tuesday, making it the second consecutive day of 41 degrees-plus temperature.
The maximum temperature on Wednesday is likely to be around 40°C, mentioned India Meteorological Department forecast. "No large change in maximum temperature during next 48 hours, thereafter rise by 2-3 degrees during subsequent 3 days very likely," mentioned the forecast.
From Thursday onwards, heatwave is likely in parts of north Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch, added the forecast.
On Tuesday, Kandla was the hottest with maximum temperature of 42.6°C, followed by 41.7°C in Amreli.
