Leopard killed after knocked down by an unknown vehicle on Halol Vadodara highway
Forest department rushed to the spot after the message

The protection of forest animals is on Forest Department, but several cases have come to light in which leopards living in the forests of Panchmahal have died in road accidents. In one such case a leopard was killed after knocked down by an unknown vehicle on Halol Vadodara highway near Jarod. Large number of people gathered at the spot and they informed the forest department about the incident.
The Panchmahal forests are home to a large number of animals, including pandas and bears. Animals living among the human population in the forest often reach residential areas in search of food. So sometimes we have heard and seen cases of man-eating leopards attacking humans. But now the situation has changed and they have reached till residential areas.
The leopard in this case was crossing the road late in the evening on Saturday when it seems to be knocked down by an unknown vehicle killing him on the spot. People passing on their vehicles and nearby villages rushed to the spot and informed the forest department about the incident.
