Kidneys, cornea and liver of brain dead woman from Dabhoi donated by her family

In a noble gesture family of a 73 year old Ramila Salot donated her liver, cornea and kidneys after she was declared brain dead by doctors at Bhailal Amin General Hospital in Vadodara. As per procedure her organs were harvested on Thursday and Liver and Kidneys were taken to Surat by the team of doctors. While her eyes were send to Kashiba Children hospital in Vadodara. She will give life to five people.

As per Dr. Sachin Jain, Head Medical Services, Bhailal Amin Hospital, she was admitted at the hospital with left side paralysis. There was complete blot in the main two veins of brain and golden hour was also missed. We tried our best to save her but not received any expected outcome. Her relatives are generous for organ donation and hence after thorough understanding, the transplant committed SOTTO (State Organ and Tissue transplant Organization) was intimated. On Wednesday her two kidneys, corneas and liver was harvested by the team. It will give life to five people.

Nimesh Salot son of the donor said, my mother suffered brain stroke and hospital make every effort to save her. We then asked them about any of her organ working so that we can donate. After the understanding we decide to donate her organs to give life to five people. He request everyone to go for organ donation whenever get a chance.
