The GVK EMRI Karuna Ambulance (1962) Animal Helpline, run by the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Department and considered as lifeline for animals has completed four years on Wednesday. In Vadodara district, this helpline has saved the lives of 22470 animals in Vadodara district in the last four years.
During the uttarayan festival the ambulance spread the awareness in people to fly kites with safety and effectively treat injured birds and saved their lives. The helpline also treat injured animals in city and district and proved to be a lifeline for them.
Deputy Animal Husbandry Officer P. R. Tailor as well as Dr. Nadeem Sheikh of Bhutdizampa, Dr. Ansul Agarwal of Karuna ambulance, Dr. Kunj Patel, his pilots Gautambhai and Ajitbhai and district program manager Dr. Ravi Rink cut the cake and celebrated the performance of Karuna Ambulance.
