As trains are slowly coming back to tracks, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has announced to restore the operations of Train No. 82902/ 82901 Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Tejas Express for the Passengers from 7th August, 2021. The train will continue to operate on Four Days a week basis on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. They also plan to start Bharat Darshan and Pilgrim Special trains to various destinations.

Further based on the response regularization of the running shall be decided based on the passenger demand.

IRCTC continue to keep the safety concerns of the travelling passengers all throughout the journey and ensure safety of the passengers. "All-round preparations shall be ensured that the train once started match the expectation of the people in terms of levels of services and safety and health protocols amidst the ongoing pandemic. Passengers will have to undergo thermal screening and luggage disinfection before boarding the coach by the staff deputed for the purpose. All passengers will install "Aarogya Setu" app and will be shown as per demand. Detailed instructions will be given to passengers at the time of booking tickets. The coach including pantry areas and lavatories will be thoroughly disinfected at regular intervals. Frequently touched surface cleaning and regular disinfection will be done inside the coach, " Said Vayunandan Shukla Regional Manager IRCTC Ahmedabad.

Further mentioning he said the train will continue with its halt at Andheri, as permitted by WR, to facilitate ease of travelling for the passengers including those passengers intending to go to the Mumbai International Airport as well.

Further the IRCTC plans to run two Bharat Darshan and three Pilgrim Special trains to various locations. Giving more details, Vayunandan Shukla said that these yatras are being organized keeping in mind all the COVID rules. All these tourists will leave from Rajkot and return back. The destination includes Dakshin Darshan, Harihar Gange, Pilgrim Special, Uttar Darshan, Dakshin darshan, Ram Janmabhoomi and Chapaiya.

They also starts Air tour packageLeh Ladakh and Turtuk, Andaman, Karnataka, North East, Shimla and Manali, Kashmir and Kerala.

Speaking about future initiatives, Vayunandan Shukla said Vistadome coaches will be introduced in some trains which is under consideration. Similarly they plan for Mahabaleshwar- Sai Darshan- Goa and Rajasthan Desert triangle tour in coming days.
