Indian Coast Guard Ship ‘Arinjay’ rescues distressed fishermen

Responding to radio call for assistance, Indian Coast Guard Ship 'Arinjay' while on routine deployment, evacuated a critically ill patient from Indian Fishing Vessel on 21 September 2021. The patient, Arvind, reportedly became very critical onboard the said fishing vessel, as his pulse rate turned severely low that rendered him unconscious.
The Ship immediately dispatched the medical team onboard fishing boat and found the patient critical. Team continued providing in situ medical assistance and made arrangements through another fishing boat to dispatch the patient till Jakhau for advance medical help. The patient was transferred to CHC Naliya for further medical assistance and is reported to be stable.
