Indian Coast Guard commemorates Independence Day at remote islands

Indian Coast Guard hoisted national flag at eleven different islands across Gujarat to evoke feeling of nationalism and continue to generate patriotic fervor among the general public as part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' to commemorate 75 years of Independence. The local community participated in the event with equal vigor.

The hoisting of national flag by Coast Guard men in uniform at all remotely accessible sites is in sync with Coast Guard ethos and motto 'We Protect'. This is a befitting tribute to brave hearts who have made countless sacrifices safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation.
