Indian Coast Guard apprehends Pakistani Fishing Boats in Arabian sea

Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Arinjay during patrolling in Arabian sea observed 02 Pakistani Fishing Boats operating inside Indian waters on 03 December 2021. On being challenged, the boats started to flee towards Pakistan side, however, the ICG ship intercepted the boats and stopped them in Indian waters.

On further investigation, it was established that the two boats namely

Al-Noor-Ul- Subah and Al-Abdul-Salam had 18 crew and are Karachi based. On thorough rummaging by ICG team 60 Kg sea shells were also found.

As the presence of boats in the area could not be explained and justified by the crew, both the boats were brought to Okha harbour for further interrogation.
