Some districts in Saurashtra, south, and north Gujarat are likely to experience continued unseasonal rain for an entire week. Moreover, unseasonal rain is expected Saturday, in 13 districts of the state.

“Light to Moderate rain or thundershowers is likely in Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad and Diu,” said IMD on Friday.

Ahmedabad’s maximum temperature on Friday remained at 38.8°C.

Notably, Rajkot experienced an unseasonal rainfall, with around 1.5 inches pouring down in just 45 minutes, leading to widespread waterlogging across the city, on Wednesday.

The downpour came after the city recorded the state’s highest temperature of 41.4°C earlier in the day.
