City police commissioner Sanjay Srivastava issued three different notification governing the sale of cycles, sim cards and installation of CCTV cameras.
The commissioner made it clear that no cycle or battery-operated two-wheeler can be sold without valid identity documents of the buyer.
The notification says cycles, two-wheelers and cars have earlier been used to carry out bomb blasts in the city and thus cycles and battery-operated two-wheelers cannot be sold without a proper bill.
The notification states that such a sale can be done only after collecting a copy of an identity document of the buyer.
The notification said the bill must have the chassis number and name and address of the buyer.
Similarly, another notification mandates that no sim card can be handed over without verification of identity documents.
The notification states that sim cards are being used by anti-social elements in financial cybercrime.
