Huge statue of Sardar at Kevadia has put Gujarat and India high on world map - Vinay Kumar Saxena

Vinay Kumar Saxena, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Government of India, who was present at the meeting of Khadi and Village Industries Commission at Kevadia, visited the Statue of Unity on Wednesday and paid homage at the feet of a huge statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the sculptor of united India. He then saw the natural beauty of Narmada Dam and Vindhyachal and Satpuda mountain range was from the scene gallery on the 45th floor of the statue.

Saxena then visited Cactus Garden, Butterfly Garden, Jungle Safari and Ekta mall. He visited Khadi India as well as show rooms including Garvi Gurjari and congratulated all the staff.

In his response, he said that in a very short span of time, as per the vision of the Prime Minister, the Government of Gujarat has made this place a world class tourist destination. He salute the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the concept of modern Kevadia. He termed it as a special day of their lives, which will never be forgotten. What they have seen and experienced at the statue site is world class. This huge statue of Sardar Patel has placed Gujarat and India high on the world map.
