Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects in Ahmedabad this morning.
These projects worth over 33 crore rupees belong to Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Railway sector. He also dedicated Chandlodiya - Khodiyar Railway Under-Bridge on this occasion.
This will provide more facilities to the people and ease the traffic congestion.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Shah said that development of Railway facilities in Gujarat have been sped up under the Modi Government.
He said that today is the big day for Gandhinagar Lok Sabha and Sabarmati Assembly Constituency.
He said that a new Railway facility including modern reservation counter, new railway platform at Chandlodiya Station, waiting rooms and other facilities will ease the life of people in this region.
He also announced that 10 more long-distance trains have been given stop at Chandlodiya, Ambli and Sabarmati Railway Stations from today.
Mr. Shah also launched a tree plantation campaign for the plantation of one lakh trees at Hebatpur in Ahmedabad.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that COVID pandemic has taught us a big lesson that oxygen is of paramount important for us.
He said that a series of new initiatives have been taken to reduce air pollution, but the only solution to get the natural oxygen is to plant maximum trees.
He said that two crore trees have been planted in Gujarat during the last two years.
He appealed to the government departments and the people to plant the trees which had long life duration. With this, Mr. Shah concluded the three-day visit to his Lok Sabha Constituency from Friday.
Mr Shah has said that the government is planning to provide electricity and gas connections to every household. He was speaking after launching various development works in his Gandhinagar lok sabha constituency yesterday.
He said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi has also planned to provide a home to every poor in the country by 2024.
He said that Gujarat has been developing for the last 20 years and will continue to develop more during the next 30 years.
Mr. Shah has launched "Smoke Free village" campaign from Modasar village of Sanand Taluka in Ahmedabad district by distributing cooking gas kits to the villagers. He also launched the Thalassemia Free Gujarat campaign on this occasion.
He also laid the foundation stone of a beautification and renovation project of 500 years old ancient Banganga Lake in Modasar village.
He appealed to the people to build or renovate 75 lakes or ponds in each district under the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
Mr. Shah laid the foundation stone of various development works worth 210 crore rupees in Gandhinagar district yesterday. He performed e-foundation stone laying of renovation works of lakes in Rupal and Vasan villages, two railway over bridges in Kalol taluka and four-lane road connecting Vishwa Umiya Dham.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Shah said that the central government has included the Vardayini Mata temple of Rupal village in PRASAD scheme.
He said that Vardayini Mata temple will make a special position in the tourist map of India.
Rajat Tula of Mr. Shah was performed at the Vardayini Mata temple in Rupal village with 120 kilograms of silver on this occasion. Mr. Shah said that the silver donated by the various donors will be used in the renovation of various temples in Rupal village.
He performed e-foundation stone laying of two Railway over bridges at Pansar- Dingucha- Vadu- Langhnaj road and Gandhinagar - Vavol - Chhatral road. Each of these two bridges will be built at a cost of 50 crore rupees.
The work of these overbridges will be completed within 18 months. The four-track road of Vishwa Umiyadham will be completed at a cost of 17 lakh rupees.
The beautification of the lake in Rupal village will be done at a cost of 6 crore rupees.
Mr. Shah also dedicated 280 accommodations for government employees at Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar built at a cost of 86 crore rupees, 6 lane flyover at Tarapur built at cost of 7 crore rupees and Sakhi one-stop center at Gandhinagar civil hospital built at a cost of 50 lakh rupees.
