The city of Vadodara has received heavy rains with a sudden thunderstorm on Thursday afternoon. As a result, trees have collapsed in many places and low-lying areas have been flooded. After the unbearable heat of the last few days, people are relieved with the arrival of rain today.

The hoardings have been demolished in some places as it started raining with strong winds and thunderstorms. Traffic has been disrupted as huge hoarding near Vadodara's night market collapsed. Apart from this, areas like Raopura, Mandvi, Nyaymandir, Karelibaug, Waghodia Road and Fategunj were flooded. As a result, the drivers got into trouble.

The meteorological department has forecast light to moderate rains in the state till June 17 and 18. From June 17 to June 20, light to moderate rains are likely in various districts of North Gujarat, including Ahmedabad. There may be light to moderate rains on June 17 and 19. The meteorological department has forecast that the rains will increase from June 20-21.
