The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast on Sunday indicated that from August 9 to 11, isolated places in Ahmedabad district along with Gandhinagar may experience heavy rains.
With continuation of good spell of rainfall, coastal Saurashtra and south Gujarat are expected to receive heavy rainfall next week.
Meanwhile, Gujarat completed 75% of the seasonal rainfall on Sunday morning. Analysis of each 25% rainfall indicated that the first 25% took 23 days, second five days and third 25 days.
Out of 33 districts, 13 have got over 75% of the seasonal rainfall including two which have already received 100% or more seasonal rains.
Only Dahod has received sub-par rains, according to GSDMA data.
On Sunday, Babra and Lathi in Amreli got 65mm rainfall each till 8pm, followed by 56mm in Wankaner, Morbi; and 46mm in Jasdan, Rajkot. In all, 80 talukas got 1mm or more rains.
