The state government has started taking action against the protesting health workers in Gujarat. As a result, 2,000 health workers from eight districts were dismissed from their jobs.

As a result, the health workers have threatened to stage intense protests in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the state health department has issued orders for departmental investigation of more than 1000 employees. It is believed that the investigation may lead to even more orders of termination.

It has also been claimed that many employees appeared for duty following the ultimatum of the health department.

On the other hand, the Health Workers’ Union threatened that if the government does not invite them for talks within two days, then a fierce agitation will be launched across the state. 

Currently, more than 2,000 employees from eight districts have been laid off and more than 5,000 employees have been given show cause notices.
