The I Division police staff, while on regular patrol, became suspicious of an SUV passing through Jashodanagar and heading towards the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway.

When police signalled the driver to stop, the SUV driver accelerated in an attempt to flee. Police pursued the vehicle and apprehended three individuals near the highway toll booth, recovering a country-made pistol and three magazines from their possession.

Ramol Police Station registered a complaint, which suspecting that the accused may have been planning to commit a crime.

The accused have been identified as Nimesh Khakariya, a resident of Mithakhali, Ahmedabad, Sandy Nirupam, a resident of Kathwada; and Kiran Parmar, a resident of Gota, Ahmedabad district.

During preliminary investigations, police questioned the accused about the source of the weapons, their intended use, and whether they had committed any prior crimes. However, the suspects failed to provide satisfactory answers.

Police have launched further investigations to determine if more individuals were involved in the incident.
