Gujarat: Process of recruiting forest guards would resume soon

The Gujarat government stated on Wednesday that the recruitment process for 334 forest guard posts in the forest department would be restarted soon. In 2018, the recruitment process was placed on hold.
Forest and Environment Minister Kiritsinh Rana made the announcement, saying that the recruitment that had been put on hold owing to unforeseen circumstances would be resumed shortly "in the benefit of Gujarat's youth." Applicants whose applications were approved in 2018 will be permitted to take the exam regardless of their current age, according to Rana.
Candidates who applied under the Open Competition category in 2018 and want to apply under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category will have 10 days to fill out details on the Online Job Application System page, according to Rana (OJAS).
According to Rana, no additional applications for the recruitment will be accepted. He further stated that after the recruitment procedure for the 334 openings is completed, the other 775 vacant Forest Guard positions will be filled.
