At least half a dozen people were injured after being attacked by a single lioness in a span of 12 hours in Babarkot village of Jafrabad taluka of Amreli on Sunday.
A battery of top forest officers have rushed to the village and have set up cages to capture the feline that has caused panic in the region with her 'unusual behaviour'.
A senior forest officer confirmed that all the six persons were attacked by the same lioness on the Jafrabad-Babarkot road that falls under the Shetrunji wildlife division.
The first incident occurred at about 5.30am when a peon of the forest department Samat Goga was returning on his bike after heaving tea.
The lioness attacked him from behind and escaped into the thick bushes of 'gando baval' (Prosopis juliflora).
