A gang that duped people by luring them with gold at prices cheaper than market rates was busted by Kutch (east) police that arrested four people.

Two more accused are still at large. The gang had cheated people of Rs 2.15 crore.

Gandhidham police arrested Arjun Sojitra (37), a resident of Amreli; Ramesh Revar (53); a resident of Gariyadhar in Bhavnagar, Abdul Langha (45) and Ismail Langha 41). Two more accused are yet to be arrested.

Gang had cheated Imran Dholia, a trader of Bhavnagar, who had lodged a complaint with A-division police. 

They gave him a gold biscuit for Rs 5 and later called him to Gandhidham saying they had 5 kg gold worth Rs 2.15 crore which they wanted to sell at a cheaper rate. 

When Dholia reached, one of the accused suddenly appeared identifying himself as a cop, threatened him and fled taking the bag of cash without delivering the gold.
