Gujarat CM, dignitaries and followers condoled the demise of Sant Hariprasad Swamiji
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt, Mayor Keyur Rokadia and many other dignitaries condoled the demise of Sant Hariprasad Swamiji of Haridham Sokhada Swaminarayan temple near Vadodara. He passed away at the age of 88 at 11 pm on Monday during treatment at Bhailal Amin hospital in Vadodara. Arrangements will be made at Sokhada for the darshan and the last rites will be performed on 1st August Sunday.
As per available details Hariprasad Swamiji had been in poor health for a long time and was routinely checked by the saints to maintain his health. On Monday he complained of difficulty in breathing and was brought to Bhailal Amin Hospital in Vadodara in evening. At night, his condition worsened and despite of valiant efforts by the doctors he left for heavenly abode late at night at 11 o'clock. The news of Swamiji's death spread like wildfire and grief spread among the followers and devotees living in city, country and abroad.
It is to be mentioned that Hariprasad Swamiji was born in the year 1934. He was the Gurubhai of Sant Pramukhswami Maharaj of BAPS sect. Devotees celebrated the 88th manifestation day of Hariprasad Swamiji on May 23. Hariprasad Swamiji had a large number of followers in Vadodara city-district as well as in the country and abroad. According to sources, the body of Hariprasad Swamiji was placed in a cold room, from where the body will be taken to Haridham Sokhada. There it is placed for darshan and the last rites will be performed on 1st August Sunday.
The news shocked everyone and people condoled his death through social media. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has expressed grief over the demise of Pujya Hariprasad Swami, President of Yogi Divine Society and founder of Atmiya Samaj Atmiya University and paid his tributes. He said that the invaluable contribution made by Pujya Hariprasad Swami in his lifelong service in spreading the spirit of devotion and dedication to the society along with the dissemination of addiction, education system among the youth will always be unforgettable. Chief Minister has also prayed for the ultimate peace of Swamiji's soul as he shares in the grief of millions of mourners following his demise and passing away.
Vadodara MP Ranjanben Bhatt also tweeted a tribute to Swamiji, saying, the only prayer that Swamiji always be in our hearts to show us the path of Dharma. Mayor Keyur Rokadia said he always guide and show him and others the path ahead. It's a big loss for him and the void will never be filled.
