Chief electoral officer (CEO) P Bharathi on Thursday held a meeting with officials of various agencies at the Ahmedabad airport to review Gujarat’s preparedness to conduct the Lok Sabha election and assembly by-elections.

The statement said that officers of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Airports Authority of India (AAI), Bureau of Civil Aviation (BCA), customs and income tax departments participated in the review meeting.
The statement said that the meeting was held to ensure that political parties and candidates do not use the air route to ferry prohibited items that could influence voters.
