A dead full grown adult mass crocodile found dead inside the Vishwamitri river flowing through Vadodara city. The crocodile was taken out from the waters and is said to be died from lung infection after the panel PM by the doctors. However the vicera was sent to FSL for further investigation.
As per available details, the 10 foot three inch full grown adult crocodile was seen floating inside the Vishwamitri river near Kalaghoda bridge in Vadodara. Immediately animal activists along with the forest department team reached the spot and took out the crocodile to the shore. It was shocking for everyone as the full grown male crocodile comes under schedule 1 and this is said to be fourth such death.
The exact cause of death is not known immediately as the activists insist for post mortem of the animal to know the exact reason. "I talked to the doctor who was in the panel Post mortem team and he said the primary cause seems to be lung infection. But they have send samples to FSL to know the exact cause of death, " Said Raj Bhavsar of GSPCAGSPCA.
Raj also insisted that mass crocodiles comes under schedule 1 and in future if panel PM be done to know the deaths, then they will be able to save them and took preventive measures.
