Elderly killed by son in law with a hammer in Vadodara

A son-in-law killed his mother in law with a hammer in Vadodara on Saturday afternoon. The incident shocked everyone as the accused present before the police after the murder. Police is investigating further to know the exact reason of killing and initiate proceedings for RTPCR test of the accused before arresting him.

The shocking incident happened in Kalyanbaug society of Manjalpur area in the city where the victim Savitaben Patel, 76, lives with her husband and son. Vishal Amin, son-in-law of the elderly Patel couple, arrived around 11 to 11.30 am in the morning on Saturday and killed his mother in law Savita Patel with a hammer blow on head.

After killing his mother-in-law, the accused Vishal Amin went straight to the Makarpura police station and told the police about the murder. Later the case was handed over to Manjalpur police as the murder took place within the limits of Manjalpur police station.

"The accused is son in law of the victim and after the murder he present before the police. There was a dispute between the victim and the accused over their daughter but all will be clear after the investigation," said S.B. Kupavat ACP F division.

As per information the victim's son is wanted in prohibition case and police is investigating further in the matter. Manjalpur police is further investigating after registering the murder case against the son in law.
