Bharatiya Tribal Party president and Dediapada MLA Mahesh Vasava along with 15 others were booked by Narmada district police for allegedly violating the Covid 19 protocol. They took out a big rally in Dediapada to mark the World Adivasi Day on Monday. Police booked him and others various sections also includes Disaster Management Act.

As per details given by the police, Vikram Vasava from BTP party had sought permission to take out a rally of 400 people and SDM has allowed as per norms. But around 1500 have joined the rally which is clear violation of covid guidelines. They also not maintain the social distancing during the rally. Incidentally, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also in the district on Monday at a government event at Rajpipla.

A FIR has been registered at Dediapada police station against 15 persons which includes the organiser Vikram Vasava, BTP MLA Mahesh Vasava and others. The have been booked under various sections 188, 268, 269 of IPC and which includes the Disaster Management Act 2005 section 51 (B).
