The Customs Department has established a dedicated Passenger Facilitation Centre (PFC) at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA), Ahmedabad, to offer international travellers a single-window mechanism for guidance, assistance, and swift redressal of Customs-related issues.
According to the Principal Commissioner of Customs, Ahmedabad, the facility aims to “strengthen passenger services and ensure seamless movement” at the city’s international gateway, which handles thousands of inbound and outbound flyers daily.
According to the Customs Department, the newly created centre will serve as a centralised help desk for matters including Customs procedures, Baggage Rules, declaration requirements, and clearance formalities.
International passengers facing difficulties or requiring clarifications regarding their baggage, documentation, or movement through Customs channels will now be able to approach the PFC directly.
The centre will also coordinate with relevant Customs officers to ensure timely resolution of complaints and will collect feedback from passengers to improve facilitation measures.
The Passenger Facilitation Centre is located near Gate No. 8 in the Arrival Hall of SVPIA.
Passengers can reach the centre through Email and by calling the official mobile and landline numbers.
