Covid tally at Gujarat National Law University rises to 63
Out of 61 students and staff tested on Tuesday through RAT by the GMC, none tested positive

With one more student testing positive through RT-PCR conducted on Monday, the total Covid positive cases at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) reached 63 on Tuesday.
Out of 61 students and staff tested on Tuesday through rapid antigen testing (RAT) by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC), none tested positive.
Officials at GNLU said that out of 1,000-odd students who were on campus about a week ago, more than half have left the campus after testing negative - either going out of the campus temporarily or returning home.
"The exams will be conducted online in May. Then, the students will go for internships. So, if not by the end of April, the campus will be abuzz again only in July," said an official.
Meanwhile, Gujarat recorded 24 new Covid cases and discharge of 20 patients, taking the active cases to 152 - going above 150 after 13 days.
The new cases include 8 from Gandhinagar city, 7 from Vadodara city, 6 from Ahmedabad city, 1 each from Surat city, Sabarkantha and Vadodara districts. Surat recorded a positive case after five days.
