Commencement of distribution of uniforms to 41160 children of 1448 Anganwadi centers of Vadodara district
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani launched the distribution of statewide uniforms from Gandhinagar
A virtual program of distribution of uniforms to all the children of Aganwadis by the Department of Women and Child Development of the State Government was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. From Vadodara District Panchayat President Ashok Patel, Collector RB Barad, District Development Officer in charge Mr. Chaudhary, Resident Additional Collector D.R. Patel joined the programme.
Distribution of uniforms to 41160 children of 1448 Anganwadi Centers of Vadodara district was symbolically started by dignitaries. The young ones of 53029 Anganwadis in the state will get a new identity by this uniform. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated this uniform distribution scheme at a cost of Rs. 36 crore 28 lakhs from Gandhinagar through video conference.
Gujarat has also taken the initiative under the guidance of Chief Minister to provide one kilogram of Sukhadi every week for nutritious food to about 16 lakh children of 3 to 6 years during the Corona period. During the Corona transition, five lakh women joined the 'Hand Wash' campaign organized by the Department of Women and Child Development and set a new world record by joining from five thousand places.
District Program Officer Naina Pargi, office bearers, officers, guardians were present on the occasion.
The programme was also held at VMSS meeting hall joined by Minister of State for Narmada Development Yogesh Patel, Mayor Keyur Rokadia, MLAs Seema Mohile, Manisha Vakil, Municipal Commissioner Shalini Agarwal and office bearers.
Distribution of uniforms to 16148 children of all Anganwadis of Vadodara Municipal Corporation was symbolically started by the dignitaries.
Minister of State Yogesh Patel said that Gujarat has taken the initiative to distribute free uniforms to 14 lakh children of Anganwadis across the state free of cost as part of the new approach of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani to empathize with the children of poor middle class families. The occasion was attended by office bearers, officials.
