Campaign to enter nomination in PF account through Employees Provident Fund
Names of heirs have been entered in Thirty thousand PF accounts in the last two months
A special campaign has been launched under the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav by the Employees Provident Fund. It is for provident fund account holders to enter the names of heirs in their accounts.
Manoj Kumar Yadav, Commissioner, PF Regional Office said that Vadodara PF office covers a total of five districts. Apart from Vadodara, PF accounts of employees working in private companies in Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Mahisagar district are maintained here.
At present, out of a total of 30.20 lakh PF holders' accounts, there are 5.75 lakh active accounts. Recently, interest has been credited to all these accounts as per the funds deposited in them.
A smooth system is being set up so that the employees do not get in trouble. A three-step online system is being set up to settle PF claims. Even at the office the employees are being paid their dues by settling more claims than the prescribed number.
PF account holders are entitled to get Rs. Seven lakh sum assured in case of sudden death, 2500 pension to wife Rs. 450 for up to two children. For this reason, PF account holders need to be nominated and the campaign has been carried out.
Details of their nominees have been filled in the accounts of thirty thousand employees in the last two months. Such details can also be filled online with Aadhaar number.
Further appealing Yadav said that the employer companies also came forward with the details of the heirs of their employees. Care should be taken to ensure that entries are made before 31st December and any technical guidance required by the companies will be provided.
