A surprise accident took place last night on the way from Khodiyar Nagar to Airport Circle around 9-30 hours Thursday night in Vadodara, where a Buffalo came under the city bus and miraculously escaped. However she suffered injuries and rescued by the locals reached the spot.

The problem of stray cattle in Vadodara is years old and people lost their lives in the past. Recently an old man also lost his life when he came across a stray cattle in Sama area. It is not at all wrong to say that the system has failed to perform solidly despite repeated accidents. Like different areas of the city, cattle can be seen roaming on both sides of the road from Airport Circle to Khodiyar Nagar and beyond. According to the locals, the cattle were not sitting alone but in herds specially in monsoon the problem is big.

A surprising accident took place last night on the way from Khodiyar Nagar to Airport Circle around 9-30 hours on Thursday night. In which the buffalo had come under the city bus leads to a traffic jam as crowd gathered following the incident. Locals joined in to pull out the buffalo but seems to be failed. However, the locals pulled the injured buffalo out safely by lifting the city bus with a jack and using a rope. Surprisingly the buffalo escaped but with injuries on the body.

The administration is also taking steps to address the issue. "Arrangements have been made by Vadodara Municipal Corporation for create barricading as places to provide proper seating space to the stray animals. Secondly We are also going to held a meeting with the cattle keepers shortly and request them to kept their cows and animals at their place and not allowing them to roam freely. Moreover I observe that cows moves out during monsoon due to mud situation in their sitting area. So we are trying to send a proposal to the government regarding to make pavement or something which allows them to sit at their place and not moving out, " Said Dr. Hitendra Patel chairman Standing Committee VMSS.
