The birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir Swami was celebrated with religious fervor and devotion today at the historic Jain temple in Shrimali Pol, Bharuch.
The temple premises were beautifully illuminated to mark this sacred occasion, drawing a large number of Jain devotees from the city and nearby areas.
The celebrations began early in the morning with Mangala Aarti followed by a special Abhishek of Lord Mahavir Swami. Devotees filled the temple with chants and hymns, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
The day was marked by religious discourses, cultural programs by children, and a felicitation ceremony for ascetics, all highlighting the eternal values of Ahimsa (non-violence), Aparigraha (non-possessiveness), and Satya (truth) as preached by Lord Mahavir.
Community leaders emphasized the relevance of Lord Mahavir’s teachings in today’s fast-paced world and encouraged everyone to walk the path of peace and compassion.
Special arrangements were made for prasad distribution and maintaining cleanliness and order in the temple throughout the event.
