The 40-year-old bridge on Dhadhar river passing near Jambusar in Bharuch has become dilapidated, posing a threat to thousands of drivers.

Thousands of vehicles are using this bridge between Bharuch and Jambusar every day, so there is a fear of loss of life. Since the bridge is dilapidated, tremors are being experienced when large vehicles pass.

The highway from Jambusar to Bharuch, which is the main route for the movement of vehicles from Saurashtra to South India, is a major route for the movement of vehicles. m

Innumerable vehicles ply on this road.  This bridge is in a very dilapidated condition and cracks have appeared on the bridge and the rods are also visible.

Drivers are passing over this bridge at the risk of their lives. Leaders including former Jambusar MLA Sanjay Solanki, Taluka Congress President Sharad Rana and Narendra Patel visited the bridge.

The leaders have demanded that the bridge be repaired before the monsoon.
