Bhadarwa Police discovered a quantity of foreign liquor hidden inside a tunnel near Mahisagar river at Dodka village. The police seized 2688 pieces of quarter and pouches and seized liquor worth Rs 2.68 lakh.
As per available details, the personnel of Bhadarwa police station were on patrol for election related duty. Meanwhile, they recieved information about a man named Arjunbhai Jerabhai Mali, from Dodka in Vadodara district, had ordered a quantity of foreign liquor from outside the village and hid it in the back of his house near the village by making a tunnel near bank of Mahisagar river.
Based on this information, PSI S.K. Charel and his team raided the spot and searched the site of the tunnel and siezed a large quantity of foreign liquor. The tunnel was large enough to hold many people. Police dug a pit with the help of torch and mobile phone light and found 2688 quarter and pouches of foreign liquor and seized a total of Rs 2.68 lakh from the spot. However, as the accused was not present at the spot, and police initially registered a Prohibition charge against him and speed up investigation for his arrest.
