AMC officials in Dubai to study beachfront development
The delegation comprises Keshav Varma, the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd
A team of five officials from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has embarked on a four-day visit to Dubai to delve into the range of recreational activities on Dubai's beaches.
The delegation comprises Keshav Varma, the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd.
(SRFDCL) chairman, AMC commissioner M Thennarasan, deputy commissioner I K Patel, and Jagdish Patel from AMC's engineering department.
Despite receiving 28 proposals, SRFDCL stopped the sale at the last minute.
Sources said the delegation in Dubai would meticulously analyze the revenue model used for plot sales and identify novel recreational ideas that could be adapted to the riverfront.
Their evaluation of Dubai's revenue model will guide the decision on selling or leasing the 49 plots. This decision will be made based on public-private partnership considerations.
